What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

As Head of Colleague Experience, you’ll lead the strategy and team that shapes how our people feel, grow, and thrive at Sigma - across both the UK and South Africa. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the HR Director and senior leadership to design and deliver a people-first experience that boosts engagement, retention, and performance - ensuring our people strategy supports business outcomes.

 

You’ll bring BPO expertise and strong stakeholder influence to the table, turning insight into data-led action. Your day-to-day will span key initiatives - from onboarding and internal comms, to wellbeing, DI&E (through our “One Me, One Sigma” programme), and powerful recognition moments. You’ll own colleague engagement activity including surveys, pulse checks, and action planning, turning insight into meaningful change – all backed by data, budget accountability, and a creative, people-first mindset.

 

You’ll also shape our colleague-facing brand through internal media and social platforms, strengthening connection and belonging. Your team will support People and Talent teams with compelling messaging -especially during new client onboarding and cultural protection.

 

Data and insight will be at the heart of what you do. You’ll regularly review performance, refine focus areas, and propose bold new ideas to keep colleague experience evolving. You’ll manage the department’s budget smartly and efficiently, ensuring every spend supports purpose.

 

Above all, you’ll be a connector, coach, and change-maker - building strong relationships across functions and geographies while ensuring your team is aligned, engaged, and performing at their very best.

Requirements:

  • You have 2 years or more experience in a Colleague Experience/Engagement leadership role
  • You have a deep understanding of the BPO industry
  • You have Operational Leadership experience (Advantageous)
  • You have Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
  • You have developed and delivered high-impact colleague experience strategies, with a strong focus on improving engagement, culture, and performance across diverse teams
  • You are detail-oriented and data-savvy
  • You have insights to shape activity and drive results
  • You build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, leading to greater buy-in and involvement in colleague experience initiatives
  • You are confident using digital tools like Canva
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
  • You are confident and thrive in pressured environments
